Nathaniel Taylor's Résumé
EDUCATION
University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT —
August 2021 - April 2026
GPA- 3.5
The University of Utah has taught me a great deal; not just about programming, but also about problem solving, pre-planning, and teamwork.
Warsaw Community High School, Warsaw, IN —
August 2017 - May 2021
GPA- 4.12
While at High School I joined the swim team. The swim team taught me valuable lessons in hard work and perseverance that I continue to use to this day.
CERTIFICATIONS
Machine Learning with Python, Coursera
October 8, 2025
This certification taught me about machine learning models and how to evaluate models. Models studied included supervised learning regression (linear regression, logistic regression, regression trees, etc.) and classification (SVMs, k-NN, and decision tree) models, models that can be used for both regression and classification (random forests and XGBoosts), and unsupervised learning models (DBSCAN, HBSCAN, t-SNE, and UMAP).
EXPERIENCE
Legacy Village, Salt Lake City, UT — Receptionist
April 2024 - PRESENT
I serve as the first point of contact for residents helping them with technology, navigating the facility, connecting them with other staff members, and helping with any other questions or concerns they may have. Additionally, I played a leading role in helping to reset the facility’s key fob system. My responsibilities included teaching myself how two different systems functioned and stored data, helping to define a set of rules for creating key fobs moving forward, and creating new key fobs after the old system was cleared out.
Elmgren’s Service and Garden Center, Richmond Hill, GA — Landscaper
June 2023 - August 2023
I delivered select products/materials to customer locations, performed demolition work, installed sod, flowers, sprinklers, and pavers, and maintained the store grounds. This was a physically demanding job that required hard work and the ability to persevere through challenging work conditions and mental barriers.
